Community at Paper
We’re hiring someone to bring designers and creators together around Paper — online and in person at events.

Paper is the design canvas for teams shipping with agents. We recently raised our $34M Series A from Accel and ICONIQ to build the next great design platform, and we’re growing fast. After the Paper Desktop launch, we 25×’d ARR in a month, giving us rock-solid conviction: teams shipping with agents need a design tool built specifically for the new era. Thousands of teams now pay for Paper. We’ve ranked near the top of Ramp’s fastest-growing companies list for four consecutive months, including multiple months at #1. We are growing revenue at over 30% MoM, and our customers include leading design teams like Ramp, Lovable, and Harvey.
What you’ll do
- Get on calls with creators, influencers, and community members every day: learn what they’re making, help them use Paper, and find ways to collaborate
- Be active on X, Slack, Discord, and Reddit: answer questions, share releases and changelog videos, and bring in teammates when needed
- Build systems to log feature requests, questions, and moments of confusion, and use it to recommend what content we make and what’s next on our roadmap. Close the loop by posting content in response to those requests, questions, and comments.
- Evaluate a Paper Ambassadors program and operationalize it if so. Help organize Paper communities across cities and launch new local chapters
- Run and host events: curate the guest list, book spaces, organize swag and staffing, event checklists, and be there to welcome guests and make everything run smoothly
- Represent Paper at meetups, conferences, and hackathons, and follow up with people you meet
- Build partnerships with designers for launches, content, and community programs, working closely with Education and Marketing
What we’re looking for
- You’re already active in tech or design communities on X or another social platform: you join conversations, share work, and know the people shaping the space
- You’re energized by days full of calls with creators and by hosting events; reaching out and bringing people together comes naturally to you
- You’ve brought people together through a community, program, or event you helped build
- You enjoy showing up in person and handling all the details, from the first invitation through the last guest leaving
- You’re excited to learn Paper deeply and work closely with Harcourt (Education & Community @ Paper) on education, content, and community
Success in 6 months
- You’re a key part of the Paper community and our relationships with creators and our users are stronger than ever
- More people share their work, help each other, and become regular contributors
- Regular conversations with creators and partners lead to useful collaborations
- Events run smoothly, and we know which formats are worth repeating
- Community conversations regularly inform what we teach, share, and build
What we offer
You’ll have everything to do your best work: great tools, a generous budget for your gear, and flexible hours. Our team is fully remote with team members across the Americas, Europe, and Australia, and a yearly team get-together to enjoy each other’s company. We’re opening an optional San Francisco HQ.
We’re also pretty small — right now, it’s just 15 of us. Each of us values the freedom and leverage that comes from being in a small team, and it’s a culture we will maintain.
Being at an early-stage startup you also get meaningful equity in the company.
