Sales Development Representative
We’re making our first dedicated sales hire to help teams adopt Paper — from inbound conversations and demos to starting our outbound motion.

Paper is the design canvas for teams shipping with agents. We recently raised our $34M Series A from Accel and ICONIQ to build the next great design platform, and we’re growing fast. After the Paper Desktop launch, we 25×’d ARR in a month, giving us rock-solid conviction: teams shipping with agents need a design tool built specifically for the new era. Thousands of teams now pay for Paper. We’ve ranked near the top of Ramp’s fastest-growing companies list for four consecutive months, including multiple months at #1. We are growing revenue at over 30% MoM, and our customers include leading design teams like Ramp, Lovable, and Harvey.
What you’ll do
- Respond to inbound interest, meet with customers, understand what teams need, and make the next step easy
- Work with Strategy & Operations to find expansion opportunities, including companies where individual users could benefit from bringing their team onto Paper
- Start our outbound motion: research promising accounts, find the right people, and test thoughtful outreach over email, calls, and social
- Learn Paper deeply and run useful discovery calls and demos, with help from our teammates
- Keep evaluations moving: agree on next steps and coordinate pricing, onboarding, and procurement with the right people
- Own sales reporting: keep our pipeline current and report weekly on outreach, qualified opportunities, conversion, and stalled deals, with clear next steps
- Find gaps in our sales process; partner with Strategy & Operations to choose and set up the tools, workflows, and automations we need
What we’re looking for
- 1+ years in a sales or relevant role with a track record of success and high performance
- You’re curious and a good listener: you ask questions before telling someone what they need
- You’re warm, proactive, and persistent; people trust you to follow through
- You can learn a technical product and explain how it fits into someone’s work
- You’re organized about follow-up and comfortable working without an established playbook
- You report on your work, spot where opportunities get stuck, and improve the process
- You care about creative tools, their users, and building lasting customer relationships
Success in 6 months
- Interested teams consistently convert to enterprise plans
- Product signals regularly turn into conversations about team adoption and expansion
- You run sales conversations and help close upgrades
- Outbound is producing qualified conversations, and we know which accounts and messages are worth pursuing
- Your reporting makes pipeline, conversion, blockers, and next actions clear
- Our process and tools support repeatable sales work
Values
- Passionate about tools for creative professionals
- Highest agency and motivation: startups are hard, we show up every day and make progress
- Nothing’s off limits: you see what needs to happen and you help make it happen
- Always improving: you love analyzing work in a group and helping each other do quality work
- High velocity: we ship to production many times per week and the business velocity needs to match
What we offer
You’ll have everything to do your best work: great tools, a generous budget for your gear, and flexible hours. Our team is fully remote with team members across the Americas, Europe, and Australia, and a yearly team get-together to enjoy each other’s company. We’re opening an optional San Francisco HQ.
We’re also pretty small — right now, it’s just 15 of us. Each of us values the freedom and leverage that comes from being in a small team, and it’s a culture we will maintain.
Being at an early-stage startup you also get meaningful equity in the company.
